Ms. Asmaa Resmouki has more than twenty-five years of experience in assurance services, including serving as audit partner in the large auditing firms (Deloitte and EY) in Morocco, where she led audit teams in various industry and service sectors.
She also held numerous leadership roles in these auditing firms and was the Country Risk Leader of Deloitte Morocco where she took in charge the development and monitoring of quality and risk management procedures. Asmaa has been serving in leadership roles in the Moroccan accountancy profession since 2008, especially in Quality Control field. From 2011 to 2017, she served as a Board member of the Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA), as Vice President and Chair of the Planning, Human Capital, and Financial Committee, and as President. Since 2017, Ms. Resmouki has joined the Board of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) as a Board member, as Chair of the Governance Committee and as Chair of the Planning and Finance Committee.
She has become Deputy President of IFAC in November 2020. Thanks to her diverse experience, Asmaa has developed as a thought leader in the development and strengthening of the accountancy/auditing profession, as well as an expert in good corporate governance and best practices to manage and lead robust Boards and committees. She is currently assisting different organisations in projects relating to the profession and to advisory services.
